OVERVIEW The nurse provides safe, patient-centered care by assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, creating individualized care plans, and educating patients and families. They collaborate with the healthcare team, document care accurately, use critical thinking to promote patient safety, and participate in quality improvement, shared decision-making, and professional development.
