The Department of Health is currently seeking a Public Health Nurse IV in the Bureau of Epidemiology and Disease Control, for their Great River location. Key Elements Of The Role : Oversees the Bureau of Epidemiology of Disease Control, which is charged with preventing the occurrence and spread of communicable diseases in Suffolk County. Acts as the bureau chief responsible for overall supervision of bureau functions, including clinical and non-clinical aspects Oversees the bureau’s disease surveillance, investigation and control activities for over 70 reportable communicable diseases. This includes case and cluster investigation, contact investigation, and institution of outbreak control measures as needed.…
