Central Processing Extern, Sterile Processing Department, Full Time, Day

POSITION SUMMARY: Externs will train on the job and together with their preceptor will identify and set up all hospital instrument trays, complete all sterilizing functions, and perform all sterilization procedures. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled or completed The Valley Hospital Central Service Technician course. EXPERIENCE: One to two years hospital experience preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic math skills required. Effective communication skills to read, write, speak, and understand English required.
