About this role
We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to join our growing Team!
What you’ll do:
Create and implement safety plans/programs in accordance with OSHA Standards.
Train employees in worksite safety practices by promoting and leading a site culture where safety is ingrained as a core value.
Perform safety inspections of the production floor.
Perform audits of the written safety program.
Investigates accidents and near misses. Provides corrective actions.
Perform JSA and LOTO assessments.
Trains new employees on JSA for their respective areas.
Maintain chemical inventory list.
Ensure SDS sheets are current and up to date for all departments in IQS.
Evaluate and assign all annual safety training needs for all VEGA employees.
